Jonah Russell makes physical performance based work coming from a background in contemporary circus acrobatics, with a focus on the ways in which hand-to-hand acrobatics can take influence from dance partnering and puppetry. With collective Ludic Acid I am developing a practice in which I explore the extended possibilities of acrobatically trained bodies while deliberately shifting attention away from the presentation of acrobatic skill as spectacle or virtuosity.
