Market garden x Temporary Commons

‘Deep Time Café’ invites participants to engage in a unique exploration of time, community, and the intricacies of our food system through an immersive art installation and performance. This pop-up cafe serves as a space for contemplation and sensory exploration, allowing guests to ponder the complex relationship between food production and the ecosystem that sustains us.

Attendees will experience a transformative meal journey where time perception is altered, creating an atmosphere in which they can reflect on the important concepts of reciprocity and sharing within the context of soil, seed, and community health. The installation's design emphasises edible philosophy, encouraging connection with the often-overwhelming realities of the industrialised food complex, and the essential bonds with nature that nourish us.

The cafe will appear somewhere on-site, and is inclusive, catering to all ages and dietary needs. It offers a delightful way for anyone who eats to engage with the vital networks that contribute to our sustenance. This installation not only serves food but also nurtures meaningful conversations and connections, reminding us of our place within the larger web of life.
